TAKEN AGAINST YOUR WILL by Jackie McCartney

The smell of sweat
Heavy weight upon your chest
Rough beard on your skin
Cuts your body to pieces
Nauseated with body odour
Aggressive hands all over you
Screaming in your head
No no no leave me alone
You switch off
It’s not happening to you
You leave your body to keep safe

When you awake
Your bruised, sore an ache
But no one notices or cares

  1. Wow Jackie this blows me away. it’s amazing that you can do this. So glad you have found your inner child, the little Jackie who could, not speak back then, but can now. Xx

  2. Hugely powerful, poignant and raw. πŸ’œ Yes it never leaves you 🌈 but like a Butterfly πŸ¦‹ you have TRANSFORMED its ugliness into the loving , giving and compassionate person that so many have come to love and respect . I’m glad our paths crossed too Ian
